The ‘medicalmouse’ website shows how laboratory animals help scientists and doctors first discover new human and animal medicines and then test that the medicines are safe and effective.
It then discusses how the knowledge gained from research on animals helps each one of us every day - even our pets. Without animal research, millions of people would die from a variety of illnesses and millions more who are ill would not be able to lead active lives.
